Free · seven mornings

The first hour decides the day.

You reach for the phone before you are upright. Your body reads that as danger, and a body in survival does not let go of anything, including what is around your middle. Then coffee, into eight hours of dehydration. Petrol on a fire you have not lit yet.

You have done this every morning for twenty years and nobody has ever told you it was the reason.

Seven letters, one each morning.

Each one is short and each one is something to do before eight in the morning. The phone. The water. The light. The order. The coffee. The four lines. And on the seventh: what you have just proved to yourself.

It costs nothing and it works before you have paid me anything. If seven mornings do nothing for you, nothing else on this site will either, and you will have found that out for free.

Seven letters, one each morning, then it stops. No newsletter afterwards. Or write to [EMAIL] and I will send them by hand.

And then?

Nothing follows. Seven letters and it stops.

If you want the whole ninety days of it — the mornings only, run alone, with the Ledger posted to you — that is Ninety Mornings, $240, four intakes a year. If you want the mornings plus your sleep, your food, your load and your recovery arranged for you specifically, with the ninety days read by me at the end and answered by hand, that is Capacity.
